Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Event for Holiday Season

In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
• Mikasa outfit for Naoe
• Exclusive weapons
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Update

This patch also adds the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature abilities: Naoe reveals a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns.
